The future of Pakistan lies in a truly democratic, tolerant and progressive Islamic state, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Masood Kausar said on Monday.
“Standing honourably amongst the comity of nations, bearing fruits of prosperity and development, as there is a strong need for all the leaderships of society, including the thinkers and scholars, should sit together, and come out with workable conclusion, playing their role in leading the nation in a correct way,” a communiqué quoted the governor as saying while inaugurating a three-day seminar titled, “genesis and causes of radicalisation in Pakistan” in Saidu Sharif, Swat.
“Pakistan stands up for universal values of freedom, dignity, equality, tolerance, harmony and brotherhood and the nation has the immense potential and reserves of talent and energy to regain its glory,” Kausar said. The military organised the seminar and thinkers, scholars, educationists, representatives from various segments of society from within the country as well as abroad will be attending it.
