A friend sent me a video today that brought tears to my eyes. It is a news interview with a Christian pastor and an Islamic cleric in America whose places of worship are next to each other. Rather than treat each other with suspicion and mistrust, they have reached out in the same way of prophets Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad (SAW). I thought it was especially interesting that the name of the Christian church is “Heart Song”. Is this not the song that Allah puts in our hearts? To love our fellow man? So why is it there is always some miitants who are either burning Quran or killing Ahmadis or some other evils? As we prepare for Eid, I will be thinking about this video and how beautiful the world can be if only we allow it to be so.
